“Impossible Hands”

A Collaborative Art Show at Friend Museum

21 ARTISTS / INTERACTIVE INSTALLATIONS / FEB - MAR ‘25

Who wins and who loses in the game of love?
Sometimes it's a tie.
A lot of times, you don't fold until it's too late.

We're examining the games we play for love, through art inspired by board games.

Whether your turn brought you home in one of those little "LIFE" cars, or you hit the "SORRY" button more times than you can count… we want to see what games you've played in love and those you've been played by.

“Free Gift (With Purchase)”

Let me set the scene…
Time: wee hours of the morning.
Date: early 00's. classic.
Location: your favorite strip mall.

How many times have you bought three to get three free?
How did polka dotted stuffed animals, free tote bags, and cloying lotions have such a chokehold on consumer culture?

Much like puppets tied to strings, we're perplexed by the pop art world of free gift (with purchase) and the advertising that goes with it.

We're putting shopping on the stage, playing these marketing ploys as marionettes and asking you examine the excessive joy and wild psychology with us.

Think pop-art.
Think puppets.
Play them with the early 00's
